Run strictly by community volunteers, Project Phoenix in Englewood provides many services to our community, but our main objective is to collect and distribute new and gently used household items to assist area families, and individuals, who are in need, for a variety of reasons, and to help them make a fresh start and allow them to rebuild their households.
Our clients range from the elderly on a limited, fixed income (who may just need a new frying pan) - to a victim of domestic violence - to someone recovering from homelessness that needs to start over completely. Once people acquire housing, we step in and provide the essentials needed to create a functional home environment. We do not charge for the items we provide. We give away things ranging from simple sets of silverware, bedding, bathroom, and kitchen items, to baby items, and small appliances - on up to things like large appliances and furniture, when available.
We will gladly accept your kind donations of:
pantry items, small appliances, clothing, household items, furniture, knick-knacks, and baby items.
If we collect items that cannot be used to assist an individual or family in need, we may put the item for sale in the Project Phoenix Resale and use the proceeds for operating expenses or to purchase items that clients need which are not in stock.
