We are a team of Volunteers working very hard to maintain the daily operation of Project Phoenix Resale store. If you have benefited from the services of Project Phoenix, we do ask that you volunteer at Project Phoenix for a few hours to “pay it forward” to the next family. There are many things that can be done to assist, including receiving of donations, folding and tagging clothing and linens, straightening and re-stocking merchandise, etc.
100% of the proceeds from the sales in the store go to Project Phoenix, Inc. to be used for operating expenses, and it sometimes means that we are able to purchase items of need for our clients when we do not have something available in stock.
Q. Do you receive government grants?
A. No, we are self-funded, which means that we do not run on government grants.
Q. What is Project Phoenix Resale?
A. Project Phoenix Resale is our thrift store space where we sell items that were donated to Project Phoenix that we do not deem as necessities (such as knick-knacks, artwork, etc.) that would be needed for a client.
Q. Where does that money go?
A. 100% of the income from Project Phoenix Resale goes to fund Project Phoenix to be used to purchase items for clients in need when we don’t have them available in our inventory from donations.
Q. Do you get paid to work there?
A. No, Project Phoenix is a grassroots organization and our team members are 100% volunteer.
